Summer Interns of

The Institute for Advanced Physics

John Halpine

John grew up in Toronto as the second of six children.  The family was able to
play sports quite frequently as they needed fewer friends than most to
make a team.  When John was sixteen the family moved to New Brunswick where he
finished high school.  He attended Mt. Allison University where
he received a bachelors, magna cum laude, in math and physics.  It was
after this that he started getting into philosophy which has now grown
into a much larger part of his thinking.  He is currently enrolled in
the doctoral program at Northwestern in physics where he is studying
superfluidity and ultra low temperature physics.

Steven Titus

Steven was raised in Casper, Wyoming and received a B.S. in
Chemistry at the University of Notre Dame in 1999.  He is presently
studying philosophy at St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver
which operates in affiliation with the Lateran University in Rome.
Steven is interested in the philosophical underpinnings of chemical
reactions and interactions.  He is studying for the Diocese of Cheyenne
(Wyoming) and plans to be ordained to the priesthood in 2008.
